Georg jensen Jewellery
In 1904 Georg Jensen (1866-1935) set up his own silver business in Copenhagen, initially crafting by hand one off jewellery pieces for the middle classes as pieces of art, before collaboration with Johan Rohde (1856-1935) led his company into the production of flatware. From 1907-1918 Georg Jensen produced some of the most recognised designs in silver jewellery today. After 1935 the company continued employing some of the best designers of the time including Arno Malinowski (1899-1976), Henning Koppel (1917-1982), Nanna Ditzel (1923-2005) and Bent Gabrielsen (1928-).
